Light Production
A Guide to Reimagine Consumerism
A sustainable, hands-on, and self-sufficient approach to lighting design, making it an educational tool, a design resource, and a movement for conscious consumption.

OUR DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Empowerment Through Making
We believe design should be accessible, adaptable, and participatory, not confined to professionals or mass production. By providing a guide, we shift users from passive consumers to active creators, giving them the tools and knowledge to design their own solutions.
Material Consciousness & Circularity
Waste is not an end but a beginning. Our approach embraces discarded materials, challenging the throwaway culture and reimagining what’s possible through reuse, repair, and reinvention.

Flexible and Evolving Design
There is no single right way to create. Our guide is built on flexibility, allowing users to adapt designs based on available resources, skill levels, and personal needs.

Sustainability Beyond Aesthetics
Design should not just look good, it should function responsibly. We integrate alternative energy sources, minimal waste principles, and long-term adaptability to ensure each creation is built to last, both physically and conceptually.
In short, we design not just objects, but opportunities for creativity, self-sufficiency, and sustainability.

MEET THE TEAM
We are a team of three master's students at Domus Academy, bringing together diverse perspectives from Taiwan, Bulgaria, and Turkey. With backgrounds in product design and interaction design, we blend craftsmanship with innovation to create meaningful, user-driven experiences. As a group of friends and collaborators, we share a passion for sustainability, making, and redefining how design interacts with everyday life.
